I can't believe it's still snowing this hard here. Down to about 200 feet visibility.

I know, It's still coming down hard, and blowing around too. Extremely low visibilities.

The snow is still coming down at an insane rate. This is like a lake-effect band. Just unrelenting.

What a crusher this is.....I've been north of that band snowing on NYC into Elizabeth for the last couple hours.....It's actually expanding north again. Must be around 20" on the ground now

Almost 24 hours of snow. Incredible. Brooklyn is going to hit 30 inches soon.Central Park should be in the mid 20s by now.

Definitely one of the craziest storms I've witnessed. Cars across the street completely buried.

My neighborhood has transformed into something I have never seen before. It looks like a science station in Antarctica or something. There is the occasional neighbor out trying to shovel or use a snow blower. But overall, people just seem to be accepting the fact that they are not going anywhere for days. Cars are worthless. Just hunks of metal sitting in a stationary place for an indeterminate amount of time. The front of my house reminds me of the picture posted by a NY administrator in the banter thread the other day. The picture depicted a frozen wasteland and he was joking about us. 
 
This storm has reached new levels of incredible to me. The shear power of mother nature is both humbling and awe inspiring. I have a ton of work to do tomorrow starting to dig out and get my life back to some semblance of normalcy. In the mean time, tonight, I will just sit by the fireplace and tip my glass of scotch to the Great Blizzard of 2016. She has certainly earned her name.

I loved Boxing Day, but my God this storm is one for the ages. 20 Years ago only about 3 weeks off from the 96 storm. Just a beautiful storm, unrelenting, powerful. NAM really verified lmao
