Man, what a snoozefest it's been here in eastern Monmouth since the death band crept out of here around 9 this morning. I can hear the wind roaring just up a few hundred feet, but not much going on at the surface.

I think the large 20 inch plus coverage and specifically 30 inch plus coverage in the large cities cities AND huge expanse (Midwest and south to northeast) gets us to a cat 5. I'll admit knocking off number two is unlikely.

as part of a Long Island band I can safely say if my band can make is as well as the snow bands are making it, I'd be on the radio lol

agreed!.i'm in the north bronx and everything is completely buried,easily approaching 25+ inches and still snowing to beat the band,the drifts are 5 to 7 feet in some places also.

Little weenie band over the beaches from Captree west. That band over NYC is pretty persistent, and I could see several more inches at least there. Pointed directly from LGA through Manhattan to Staten Island/Newark. Hopefully that pivots southeast, rooting for everyone to hit 24" at least.
