Wholly crap there is a band that was stationary over southern putnam county rotating south and meeting a band coming in from the city.  Could be 1.5-3" per hour rates over central/southern Westchester for several hours soon.

I can confirm that it's been very heavy in mid-Westchester.

Drifts are probably five to six feet in spots. Most snow I've ever seen.

outside of the park where i lived in upper manhattan i measured 15 inches during that storm...

I didn't see any sleet. What I did notice is that when the rates lighten up there were some heavily rimmed flakes. Sort of seems like sleet

Makes sense. Nothing to me suggests sleet is anywhere near Long Island.
