I think Central Park is good for another couple of inches. If I had to guess at a final number, I'd say 28". Long Island I still think gets 4-6 more inches. The band is starting to inch east.

My brother checked in at 30" in Flemington. Based on radar obs all day, just to his north might be tickling 36".

Yeah if that was a 7pm total, they will break it! What do they need? Another 2"? They could break it this hour!

I'm 99% sure they'll break it. If they don't break it it'll be due to screwy measurements and not a lack of snow for the record.

I just can't believe that the banding still looks like it's EXPANDING around NYC. Enjoy this one and take it in, this might be the best snow event you ever witness, unless you chase a LES band.

No measurement scheduled til midnight now but I think they may measure early upon snow ending due to the record potential

I do think this storm will beat out the 1996 blizzard. No other storm in the database has an area of 30 plus inches as this storm will...that I recall. Plus Boston might luck out and pick up a half foot.

I'm in woodlawn, but I haven't gone out to measure, so I won't be able to help. Just curious what you measured.

How exactly are totals being measured? My snow board is buried under a 3' drift, my heated rain gauge shows 1.97" of LE. Just trying to figure out the best way to measure for totals. The way I have in the past is not working for this storm lol

Lee Goldberg (Channel 7) just announced that CPK was officially at 25.1 inches.
