CoolHandMike
Took a Jeb walk around my apartment. Got about 3-4" in the lee spots, and already some drifting in the exposed areas. By drifting I mean that you can't see the curbs anymore. Not much yet, but still coming down.
Morch Madness
Think they'll have 10-12"+ by 6am... I'd be surprised if they didn't. Look at that band to the south of PHL

jrodd321
I feel very good about SEPA. Only thing worrying me is that weird dry slot showing up on some models. Most high res/short range models just murder us, though. What do you think?

hazwoper
What about the bristol area? I feel like mid and upper should be good to go. Feel good about that area as well. The fact that the heavy bands appear to bump in Bucks and then die out make me think this is where the CCB will set up. Just a hunch based on years of tracking. What do you think? well someone is going to dry slot from the storm, and the NAM and RGEM have the dryslot over PHL. But that can change. In any event, the dryslot just means 16 inches instead of 22, or something like that, there is still plenty of precip before and after. BTW, someone asked about the Euro, it is about 17 inches in PHL, fwiw. Enjoy the snow, coming down good here just nw of Philly, got about 4 inches on the ground. jimmosk
Just went out for a bit of pre-bedtime recon. It's getting gusty out there! The snow is still all light powder, getting kicked up wildly in huge swirls. Whenever I tried to turn away from it, within a second snow was back to blowing in my face. My car had inches of snow on the left side, and was almost completely bare on the right, which I guess implies it's mostly easterly. Only about 4 inches, but again with the wind I wouldn't take that as true for more than just my particular corner of Swarthmore...
Birds~69
Winds picking up here in Warminster, Bucks County. Snow gently blowing off roof. Just over 5" total so far. Is that official? I guessed 4-5" in our area 10min or so ago. Winds have definitely picked up...stronger still to come.
