Only thing worrying me is that weird dry slot showing up on some models. Most high res/short range models just murder us, though. What do you think?

well someone is going to dry slot from the storm, and the NAM and RGEM have the dryslot over PHL.  But that can change.  In any event, the dryslot just means 16 inches instead of 22, or something like that, there is still plenty of precip before and after. BTW, someone asked about the Euro, it is about 17 inches in PHL, fwiw.  Enjoy the snow, coming down good here just nw of Philly, got about 4 inches on the ground.

And it is getting downright nasty out there

Just went out.....windy/snow pegging my face. Drifting is occurring. Snow is pretty dry, blowing off roof tops which is cool. I'd say 4-5" currently. I'm going with 12-14"+ by 6am....some really nice stuff coming in.

Take a look at the Dover radar and that massive area just off shore heading due north towards us

I did and it's nuts.

I would like to take pictures but it's so damn windy/snowy out (good thing:) and don't want to screw up the camera....I'll figure it out. Beer usually helps problem solving task....

Just went out for a bit of pre-bedtime recon.  It's getting gusty out there! The snow is still all light powder, getting kicked up wildly in huge swirls. Whenever I tried to turn away from it, within a second snow was back to blowing in my face.

My car had inches of snow on the left side, and was almost completely bare on the right, which I guess implies it's mostly easterly.

Only about 4 inches, but again with the wind I wouldn't take that as true for more than just my particular corner of Swarthmore...
