Ralph Wiggum
Is that official? I guessed 4-5" in our area 10min or so ago. Winds have definitely picked up...stronger still to come. Im not an official spotter so not 'official', no.

Birds~69
Im not an official spotter so not 'official', no. Ok. It's a solid guess which I mentioned the same amounts so approx correct. I'll bet I'm 6"+ now...winds are hauling.
87storms
you guys are gonna like some of those heavier bands, if you haven't gotten into them already. they are producing legitimately in the dc burbs. enjoy
hazwoper
That band over bucks extends into the Atlantic and all the way west to Altoona. That is where the confluence is being felt and why I believe we are in a good spot
Treckasec
I think the wind picked up a bit in the band. Rumbling wind and snow flying all over.

KamuSnow
you guys are gonna like some of those heavier bands, if you haven't gotten into them already. they are producing legitimately in the dc burbs. enjoy Thanks for the heads up! Visibility here just went from about 800 feet to about 500 feet in the last 15 minutes with those heavier bands moving in. Had 5" at 1:30, had been snowing at an inch an hour since 11:30 (3" then), got to be at least 1.5" an hour now. 22F and holding. Edit - yes, the wind - got that roaring sound in the trees...ripples in the snow in open spaces, drifts forming around trees and everywhere pretty much. Awesome outside! KamuSnow
Went out for a drive around midnight with my son - had some fun :-). This is near the Home Depot in Glen Mills around 12:30 am, had about 4" on the ground then. Also saw a couple of young foxes - kind of blurry through the windshield. phlsnowman24
Almost 6" on the ground here in Palmyra, NJ (right across the Tacony-Palmyra bridge obviously). Is it unreasonable I'm sad that PHL might dry slot? Heaviest band looks like it sets up over NW burbs and CNJ on latest modeling.
KamuSnow
Holy cow - just looked out front and the house across the street is not quite 500 feet from here, and I can't even see it.
zenmsav6810
4.5" estimated in Douglassville heavy snow even after the Yellow radar band crossed over. Not a lick of wind.
KamuSnow
Look at this line! hazwoper
Was just outside. Heaviest snow all night and not even under heaviest band all night. Drift a large already and wind is getting crazy. Off to bed

About the same distance to the end of my street, which I also couldn't see a little bit ago. Looks good out there.

KamuSnow
Going to step outside for a few - how can I not? May do a little shoveling, but I did some earlier, and I'll admit I'm out of snow shoveling shape. So maybe just a little on principle.
BBasile
Dry slot... No dry slot. And of course that little dry hole has me right in the crosshairs.
