I'm waiting for the period with the greatest chance of thundersnow

A friend of mine back in the 90s, brought coffee to Cantore as he was reporting live from the Natick Mall (Massachusetts)...my friend was invited into the live shot, and then he and Cantore helped dig a car out that had gotten stuck in the snow...

Question... how much snow can the average deck handle?  I've never had an elevated deck before (mine was built summer before last) and I'm wondering how often I should be clearing it off.  It's about 8'x20' and is supported by 3x 6x6's in concrete footers and lag bolts to the house.  Thoughts?

Ours has repeatedly stood up to having snow up to the railings. It's not as high as yours but I'll be it's the same 6x6s supporting it into concrete footers.

6x6's? You're fine.

Just out of curiousity, how high?
