NittanyWx
I think the city declared a snow emergency earlier today when it looked strongly like snow amounts were increasing. Mitchell Volk's a top notch met and he's the Sanitation Department's forecaster. 20"+ amounts are always tough to manage, but NYC has the resources. He's not the only forecaster for Sanitation. Old employer of mine has a contract with them too.
Animal
A little early still to be declaring victory but it would appear that the NAM did the overall best and the GGEM did the overall worst of all the guidance. GGEM had a huge n'easter from Monday. lost it a few times. Disagree.

Animal
I just raised my amounts to 15"-24". I am thinking a 10-1 ratio due to the strong winds. I can see more is we really get into one of those mega bans. That is a now casting type of thing. That a boy. saw you on TV the other night. true professional. IsentropicLift
GGEM had a huge n'easter from Monday. lost it a few times. Disagree. Over the last few days it was one of the furthest South, and it was a mess at the surface.
Nibor
The GGEM finally caved. I can't say enough how consistent that band across the metro has been portrayed on the models.

JBG
They want to cover their asses after Juno but it's much worse to under forecast amounts than the opposite and that's exactly what they're doing. Lee Goldberg is closer to reality. 9-15" still indicates to anyone with any common sense an extremely dangerous storm. The "Mayor Lindsay" storm of February 9, 1969 was 15" (supposedly though many think a bit higher).
