jm1220
The ULL is so much stronger, and that's forcing everything North. Look how insane the winds are at 850mb That's going to make for insane snow banding if it's that strong. That's a crapton of moisture being transported in. jm1220
Great for the snow aspect on the NAM but this is looking pretty bad again in terms of coastal flood impacts.

snowman19
Tremendous cutoff North of I-84. That might even be a hair too far North. The cutoff looks south of I-84 but holy smokes, every model has that extreme gradient to the north of NYC. It goes from ripping snow to nothing and they all seem to have the cutoff around the same spot. It almost resembles a lake effect band
IsentropicLift
Great for the snow aspect on the NAM but this is looking pretty bad again in terms of coastal flood impacts. BxWeatherwatcher
I don't know what kind of equation would work to convert these down to the surface but this is 925mb. at the surface they are being estimated at 55 -75 m.p.h. pretty darn close to hurricane force right at the coast. wow! jm1220
They have made a lot of advancements and improvements since Sandy.Parts of my town flooded with the last storm, which will be nowhere near as intense as this one. It won't be anything like Sandy, but in an extreme scenario I could see this resembling Dec 1992.
