GlaringSun
This band in west Atlanta metro is impressive. Completely agree. Can anyone professional mets tell us what's happening here? Should we expect this to continue throughout the day?
LithiaWx
This band in west Atlanta metro is impressive. Yep, roads covered and 28 degrees. About an inch or so down this morning on top of what fell last night.
frazdaddy
Cool! The classic eyeball overmeasure. Done that myself. Haha snow goggles. I did clean the hood of the truck off last night about 9 and there is an easy 12 on it since then.

LMA1973
Is it over for us in Wake county? Or still chances throughout the day?
Itunis
I almost wonder if there is some type of orographic stuff going on with the NW breeze and the returns struggling to make much progress eastward. Parts of the Atlanta metro are at like 1100-1200' compared to maybe 600-800 once you get towards Dalton?
FLweather
Believe it or not which hard to see and not many. But been a few snow/sleet pellets mixing in with the sprinkles here. Thought my eyes were playing tricks but after seeing them hit the windshield and melting.

Jet Stream Rider
Amazing to hear all the snow reports from SC, GA, FLA. Some pretty big hits off to the south with more accumulation than most of NC this time. Also big hits up through the mountains, great to hear. Congratulations to all those that got some action this time! I've got about 2 inches of mix accumulation here. 10am report: Light snow, ice slivers. 27. Parts of the Atlanta metro are at like 1100-1200' compared to maybe 600-800 once you get towards Dalton? That sounds exactly right to me. Any bit of down slope will tend to dry out.
