superjames1992
Returns "blossoming" to my northwest. HRRR looks good. We will see... Some of the short range modeling really hammers the border counties.
DLI4SCwx
Some of the short range modeling really hammers the border counties. Could you tell which way it was pivoting? That band down by Augusta , Aiken looks pretty stout. Hoping we can manage a few flakes here.

Hoping we can manage a few flakes here. That band in SE GA looks to continue moving SE (must be good rates in that, I'd assume). Looks like there could be some flurries in the CAE area, but hard to say.
goldman75
Watching the radar is getting me pumped man. We may get our half inch along the coast. The bulk looked to be heading south of Columbia toward charleston but the upstate is flaring up!
sctvman
Snow now starting to mix in at the Charleston airport per NWS. 455 am: Wet snow starting to mix with rain showers across SE SC including Charleston Airport. #scwx #chswx #nwschs

thunderwolf
The lightest of light snow at RDU now. Looks like "decent" returns south of here near Sanford and northeast near Louisburg.
goldman75
That big blob of light snow in eastern ga/western sc heading in the charleston direction have any chance of turning up north east with the motion of the storm or probably going to keep that south east movement? The rain off the coast is heading north east

The rain off the coast is heading north east That blob of moisture is associated with the upper level cutoff low. It will flow generally southeastward until it gets to the base of the low, then begin to move eastward. You might catch the very northern edge of this precip. sctvman
Light snow in much of the Charleston metro right now. Not here on James Island yet, but inland areas reporting it.

FallsLake
.95 liquid equivalent of all wintery weather types for this storm (so far). About half the value of some of the highest model forecast from a couple of days back. Not a historic storm but definitely a nice storm. Now lets see if we can get just a little more snow. >.05 qpf would be perfect. Currently very light snow and 22.5.
wxdawg10
nice steady snow here. wind is howling. would be nice to get a few hours of it Sent from my LG-H343 using Tapatalk
thunderwolf
Roads look terrible this morning across the Triangle. I guess they couldn't get the plows out and the roads are just a sheet of ice. Not looking forward to this drive home.

burrel2
A nice, steady light snow falling here. It looks like we picked up an extra half inch of powder overnight from the ull stuff. Nice!
WxFreak11
Snowing for the past half hour in West Ashley in Charleston. Temp down to 33. I'm in West Ashley too and actually was surprised to see the snow. Models didn't see this on the backside of the storm for us here in Charleston. I'll take it! burrel2
I just measure 2 1/4 inches of snow on top of 1/2 inch of sleet at my house. This storm really finished strong here! I bet someone in eastern PIckens County/Western Greenville county has gotten over 6 inches of snow starting last night. Anybody got a report from that area? sctvman
Not much here on James Island as of yet. A little white on tops of some of the plants and the mailbox. But now there has been winter precip the last three winters.
seasonsoflove
Snow has stopped. Radar still showing some heavier returns just west of me so here's hoping it can break through and we can get another 1/4 inch. Edit: well, that didn't take long. It's started up again, light. oconeexman
Nice ending overnight for this storm. Ended up with close to 3" on top of .5" sleet. Overall gsp was pretty dang good on their forecast as usual. Their 4-6 range is not far from my house...10 min. I knew we'd be on the line. Honestly the backside working out for once saved us last night. So def not a bust here. Now on to Fla to catch some bass!
JQPublic
Light to moderate snow falling. Everything has a nice coating to it now (trees, car windows, etc.) that didn't have anything on it before. The grass is so close to being fully covered.
