WidreMann
It was killing sleet here right on the DurWake line for the last 20. Was that little blast it for the night? There's always the radar.

CaryWx
That's not how power outages work. My friend in south Raleigh reports sleet at her place. They were having power problems before after a decent bit of ZR. Well Sparky, monitoring the Duke Energy power failure reports they appear to be clustered east and south of my position. So that's my data point.
WidreMann
Well Sparky, monitoring the Duke Energy power failure reports they appear to be clustered east and south of my position. So that's my data point. But they don't spread. Each one is caused by a discrete event. If the conditions don't change, the outages won't spread, as such. seawolf14
32*, wind NNE 16 and thankfully back to sleet. Hopefully no more ZR. Still in the dark. Getting colder... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Scooter
You might have been a few minutes late going outside. Had a couple of nice loud claps of thunder here about 6:20. I'm just a very few miles NE of you. You're definitely correct that the sleet was pouring down. I'm so glad I only had a small period of zr. Just enough to leave a glaze and right back to sleet. Was pouring sleet and some really dark clouds here. Didn't hear any thunder though

wolfpackweather
Clinging onto power here in West Raleigh. I've seen 2 blue flashes of transformers blowing in the distance from my porch. Heavy sleet with zr mixed in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
airmarci
Steady ZR for the past 30 min or so in Raleigh. Power flickering quite a bit and parts of neighborhood without power now.
CaryWx
Do we really need to discuss this? The cluster of outages is geographic and obvious. When you drill down you see the spread of impact. Sure there are some to the northwest of me, but few and far between...and isolated
LMA1973
There's always the radar. That thing is as unreliable as the models. Especially the ole dual-overhead cam doppler!
LiQuiDBuD
Can't really call it a bust here with 16" on the ground, but NWS GSP was a bit too optimistic about the deformation band and the upstream moisture looks piss poor at this point. Looks like I've reached just about the max I can expect from this storm.

Well I for one am hoping that my current status here in Cary stays just as it is.

Stebaney
Moderate snow here again. That is so weird to me. I am in K'dale and we have not had 1 flake. Right now it is pouring outside. It is rain but not sure if that is freezing rain. It is so heavy and just looks like normal rain to me.
NCSNOW
Wow should be on here soon with a snow report. Charlotte area should be seeing flakes within next hour per radar. By the way next week has a great looking threat . Already getting sucked back in. Just looked at ensembles and man the euros look sexy at 5h.
