Jon Posted January 23, 2016 Share Posted January 23, 2016 Just got back in from shoveling the driveway. What a cool experience. The sleet is absolutely hammering right now and it's so loud out there. It was coming down in sheets! From the time I started at the top to the time I finished at the bottom, the top had accumulated probably close to a half-inch again, so it is coming down amazingly. Sure, I wish it was snow, but this is pretty cool, too! We must have 3-4" out there, making this the biggest sleetstorm I'd ever had. Tony would love this! did you hear thunder? I'd say you are good for another hour of zr, the warmth is slowly coming in from the ocean. Went up to 36 here with moderate rain but snow is still on the ground. Farm Neighbor went whole hog and broke out the 70K Big A**Tractor with a front end loader, clearing out the 1.5 mile lifeline to a back woods road. Hammer down, expect MC to show up around midnight. SharonA Posted January 23, 2016 Share Posted January 23, 2016 The rain tapered off about an hour ago; temps have dropped from 42ish to 35 since the sun set. Today was a yucky mid-40s-and-rain with a bit of thunder and wind gusts when a line went through midafternoon. Should be getting snow shortly.
