WxKnurd
Wind just started whipping and sleet is now picking up intensity. Should be an interesting evening/night in CLT as this area of banding rotates through.
RubiksDestroyer
Gone from sleet to the lightest of snow flurries here- barely noticeable white specs, but they're there. At least it's something other than sleet!
cpg2
I just got a pretty good rumble of thunder! Thundersleet.
GlaringSun
Future radar on TWC looks good for us in 3-4 hours. I'm still thinking we'll only get maybe a quarter inch snow of accumulation by morning.. But one part of me says we'll see more like 2 inches somehow
Iceagewhereartthou
Changed over to sleet /snow mix finally about an hour ago. For awhile it was about 75% snow - a real fine snow, not clumpy, which is weird with borderline mid level temps. Guess I have about an inch total of snow sleet ice. A looong way from the 2-4 GSP put out or the 6-8 they had for me this morning! Does look like there are a couple more bands coming in from NEGA but who knows who they'll hit, they're not very big and moving fast. I think amounts are going to fall well short for most in the upstate except those near hwy 11.

FallsLake
Still heavy sleet here w/ tiny flakes mixed in. We're definitely experience quite the transition zone in Wake County. Yes, thank goodness..
Summey
Fine powder snow falling on 1.5" of primarily IP. Almost looks like dust.
WidreMann
Selet with some very fine flakes mixing in. Still coming down at a good clip. Nervously watching the back edge on the radar. It looks like it has stopped its retreat.
weatherheels
Returns overhead aren't real impressive, but the ip is coming down in sheets. Wind is also picking up a tad it appears, still damn cold at 23 degrees.

landof2rivers
Currently no precip falling. We had a few hours of snow, then sleet mixed in, and then it was all sleet, moderate to heavy rates.

marino13882
Smaller pines are drooping already That's crazy, because I still hear the sounds of sleet pellets and don't see any ice forming on the trees yet in Apex.

strongwxnc
No doubt skip. Just read a post about that in the mountain thread. Nice haul and well-deserved! Also looking at that big nasty band pivoting around southeast of ATL -- looks like it's taking dead aim!
