Folks, use this link if you don't already have a favorite. It tells you exactly where the sleet is. Loop if for getting an idea if trajectory. Bright yellows are sleet. Easy to spot and not a worry for the vast majority of us

It's come north pretty well. I was a bit surprised how close it is but I never looked that hard since DCA was almost always all snow on runs.

11 PM.  3rd hour in a row with snow so light it's barely visible.  Doesn't look like I've picked up even a 1/2 inch in the past 3 hours.  Wind blowing so hard, I doubt I could measure it anyway.  

 

i think that area is gonna start picking up soon, at least it looks that way.

Banding structure is looking great. The warm air advection precip will pulse. There will always be subsidence between bands. Later when the cold conveyor bands start rolling in from the east they will be more stationary in nature.

This storm is nothing short of jaw dropping from a met perspective. We are absolute ground zero
