Snowman.
For those who still care about model runs in the middle of the storm (me), here is the GFS snow output. RGEM looks very similar
eurojosh
And now the GFS looks just like RGEM and NAM. I don't think the GFS did that bad of a job with this storm. Everyone is trashing the global models. Maybe the GFS will ultimately have been too sharp on the northern edge and underdone on precip up there, but the GFS and NAM have basically had our area pegged from the beginning. If anything, they might both have been a little underdone in the end as well. This is nuts. Set aside the north and south edges and gfs has been a rock on this storm for over a week. Remarkable performance.
PrinceFrederickWx
Just measured 6.5" on the snow board. There's a lot of blowing snow now so I measured in several grassy spots to compare- most were between 6.5 & 7.0.

MacintoshPro
We need as many deathbands as possible to cycle through. Produce produce produce. It is gorgeous out here. If all those band really do get through DCA, and there's no changeover tonight, we could be looking at Knickerbocker levels.

DCWeatherGuy
DCA @ 6" per Sidel on TWC Just heard that. Very surprised. I only have about 6.5 here in NW DC, and I feel like DCA is rarely that close to me. Encouraging!

Farmboy
Took a ruler with me into the back yard when I let the dog out. Every place I measured was 7 or 8 inches. More snow, but less wind than I expected.
Bob Chill
DCA @ 6" per Sidel on TWC DCA is cracking 20 by a sizeable margin
87storms
assuming this stays all snow, 20" by 8am easily. i'm pretty confident in that. 2"/hr for 8 hours is 16 more inches. i think some of those bands might produce even higher rates after midnight.
