MillvilleWx
That band through Germantown was legit. Went for a nice walk in it and it was easy 1"/hr stuff. Got to be over 7" now. Loving the orientation of the bands coming up from the south.

dailylurker
RGEM looks amazing, especially for anyone along 95 between Bmore and DC. Up to 3.5 qpf. You would think the NAM was off its rocker, but RGEM basically mimics it.It's absolutely ripping here. Blowing powder like crazy. I can't keep up shoveling it. Looks like a death band headed for AA county. I'll take that sh*& lol.
wesleyhtswx
Measured depths between 6.5-8 inches on my deck when I specifically avoided drifts. Using the snowboard measurements I'm at 7.7. Anyone else measuring in NW DC? Trying to get some confirmation that I'm not messing this up.

osfan24
And now the GFS looks just like RGEM and NAM. I don't think the GFS did that bad of a job with this storm. Everyone is trashing the global models. Maybe the GFS will ultimately have been too sharp on the northern edge and underdone on precip up there, but the GFS and NAM have basically had our area pegged from the beginning. If anything, they might both have been a little underdone in the end as well. This is nuts.

RichmondTarHeel
I'm starting to feel like Herndon/Dulles/Sterling might be the jackpot winner based on the current radars and reports and what I'm seeing out my window. Does anyone have an HRRR to confirm/deny?

terpsnation
Sleet causing higher reflectivities Intellicast has sleet way down near Richmond. Very unsure about whether or not that's mixing or heavy precip. Seems to be taking on a far more banded structure as well.

Kat
That deathband approaching DC is a normal snowstorm we would get all in just one band. That's is if it comes in as snow instead of sleet.
dailylurker
No official report. But it looks like about 7.5 back here in the AA county woods.
