KDCA with .05 inches of QPF. Winds have increase to 13.8 mph from the NNE and visibility is down to half-a-mile. Ceiling is down to 1400 feet too. Looks pretty intense on live feed. 20-25 DBZ returns all around KDCA. Radar looks very nice for Washington! I wouldn't call it a band, but it's certainly in good position to pummel the city for a couple hours.

Flakes are still small around here, but should get bigger as the day progresses.

Exactly my thinking!

 

How are the flakes, currently? I imagine that they're rimed given the current visibility. A couple hours ago, i saw some decent sized flakes mixing in.
