WeatherNC
Snow has started in Sperryville VA, eating lunch at the Fortin River Grill. Going to stop on the way back to the farm and grab a couple pics of some snow plows, pretty sure they are for the front end of locomotive
FLO
To be fair. Although I'm happy with whatever falls, but when your gonna be lucky to get 10 when most are calling 16-20 I consider that a bust. Also. It appears next week's storm is gonna be too far south for me to get hit good. But we'll see. Woe is you. You guys in the mountains complaining about 10 inches amaze me. Jonathan
Woe is you. You guys in the mountains complaining about 10 inches amaze me. It's not about climo. It's about expectations. They were forecasted two feet of snow. That's an epic bust if they receive less than a foot.

AirNelson39
What is a bust to you? 0"? 1-3"? 5"? Just wondering. When every outlet gives you at least 16 and as mush as 24....getting less that 6" is a huge BUST. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SnowNiner
That's just a huge bust for precip, no getting around it. I've come to the conclusion that ALL the models are trolls.

Bevo
For this area north of I-85, this has played almost line for line to what was being forecast. Snow from 3-5 AM...now sleet and ZR. The timeline has been damn near perfect. Exhibit A

SnowDeac
At what point does the cliff jumping start for CLT? The Burger Bermuda winter weather triangle is in full effect, and appears to stay that way.

Go ahead if you want, I always thought 2-4" of slop (4-6" if we had more snow to start)was a good call here. I'm at 1.5" of compacted slop right now so I think that 2-4" has a good chance verifying
SnowNiner
I've jumped, but I've gotten a couple inches of snow/sleet so meh I'm alright. Congrats Raleigh, radar looks great to the east. Dismal to the south/west of clt.

Cornsnow
Not sure about everyone else but here north of Charlotte I've gotten about what was called for by Brad P. So not really disappointed at all. I have about 2 on the ground and had some sleet and fr. rain since. Now in a lull. I love watching the models but I will trust the local guys who have lived here and no how the storms work around here.

SnowDeac
I think all CLT folks are thrilled with the general lack of ZR, but it's still frustrating to see the total lack of incoming moisture.
