Just broke freezing. At 33 degrees. Predicted high was 40.

36 degrees currently back home car is reading 39 in Kingsport. Stores are packed but we've got everything we need already.

It was 38 when I left Kingsport and 31 on the car when I got back home. Also the full moon is out. That has been mean something.

Temp jumped from 29 to 32 and I had a very light rain shower. Hopefully the heavier rates can dynamically cool the column and get some snow going.

That warm nose is worrisome. Nothing more down hearting for a snow lover than going to bed expecting to wake up to snow and see rain. Of course, rather that than ice.

The 850s are good for far NE for now. But up to southern Indiana just west of here.

Rain in downtown JC at a touch over 32. RadarScope indicates the rain/snow line is overhead and moving west. This will be a good opportunity to test its accuracy.

Just woke up to check on things. Currently have a sleet/snow mix. Was not expecting that this early. The precip is not overly heavy, but the flakes are pretty large size!

Don't know how John! This reminds me of last year when it was supposed to be rain and somehow or another we switched to heavy snow. There is definitely some sleet mixed in though.
