Bob Chill
Didn't see it mentioned already, but the Euro Para 0Z actually came out. 72h panel is a crush job for DC. totals are in the 24-30" range even for DC metro. Almost identical synoptically to the euro op but wow on the deform. QPF: BWI: 2.5 DCA: 2.9 IAD: 3.
snowfan
QPF on the 0Z Para Euro: 2.9" DCA 2.6" BWI 2.7" Winchester 3.0" spots just west of DC 2.3" Westminster 2.3" Fredericksburg

Bob Chill
Wow at the 18-0z saturday period on the euro para. .8 - 1: QPF in 6 hours for most of us.
snowfan
If anything people are hedging low. Not a bad idea but could surprise some folks. Tendency is to go conservative because we've been screwed so many times, so many ways. That said, I think you're right that some may be going too low....myself included. yoda
12z RGEM has ~30mm of snow at DCA already at 12z SAT and it is still ripping snow (model ends there at 48 hrs fwiw)
MN Transplant
Wow at the 18-0z saturday period on the euro para. .8 - 1: QPF in 6 hours for most of us. And that would probably be higher ratio stuff. What is the QPF up until 15z Sat?
snowfan
Yeah, it's nuts. DCA goes from 17" to 26" in one panel. LOL. Wow at the 18-0z saturday period on the euro para. .8 - 1: QPF in 6 hours for most of us.

I think during Snowmageddon, that happened too. The ante just got upped right up to game time for that storm...or a-m-p-e-d, as it were.
