I'm actually concerned that we miss out down here also. I'm not as far south as some think about 25 min drive to NYC. If it keeps digging for oil in the Gulf of Mexico it will probably cut off pretty early. I would be happy with a 06z GFS outcome.

The last block buster here in Franklin Co. was Nemo Feb 2013.

 

Only a couple years (February '14). If we could get in on a storm like that once every two seasons, I'd be a happy camper.

I believe October '11 to February '14 was the longest stretch of the new millennium in most of the Hudson Valley. We've certainly had a chronic fringing problem, but there's usually a novelty storm to prevent a noteworthy drought from taking hold.
