paweather
The 4k NAM laughs at the 12k NAM, and then asks what it has been drinking.4K is for us.
Voyager
Any explanation? I didn't go into the forums and read them, just going by what was posted about it in the Philly forum.
canderson
CTP's snowfall map has a 3:59 p.m. timestamp now, very bullish still.
Voyager
4K is for us. The difference at Harrisburg between the the 12k NAM (17 inches) and the 4k NAM (4 inches) is unreal.
Mallow
Precip shield in southwest Arkansas not looking all that impressive at the moment, but that may just be due to dry slotting.

Rick G
I did for the 18z. Go back a few posts. However, As much as I want to get excited about the NAM, it is the NAM, and the 4k map is way different than the 12k map which is what is depicted on Instant Weather Maps. Also, I heard that most mets in the MA and NYC forums think the NAM is 50 miles too far north. I saw that after I posted the question. Thanks! NortheastPAWx
I mean, really, the NAM can't even agree with itself. What a joke model.
Mallow
GFS coming in a touch better so far out to hr 15. EDIT: Still a touch better at hr 27.
Superstorm93
0.00" liquid equivalent on the HiRes for State College. Over 1.00" on the 12km. Imagine when we have the NAMRR running every hour next year...
Mallow
GFS is definitely a tick north this run. Precip doesn't quite penetrate to where the 18z NAM has it, but it's certainly a better run.

canderson
Seriously to AllWeather, MAG and all the others here are forecast for a living - God bless you. Forecasting this for the Dauphin/Cumberland/York county metro, which is a pretty sizeable area in both geographic and population densities, seems like an impossible task really.
