chietanen
-11 for a low here, definitely colder than I thought we'd get, especially given that it was 0 around midnight.
gravitylover
My WU shows -6 at a site 2 miles down the road, the local high school station 4 miles away says -5 and DXR (~15 miles away) says -10. Whatever, it's cold.

chietanen
Went out and did a 3.5 mile run as I can't let these "extreme" weather events go without experiencing them in one way or another. It actually wasn't too bad (merino wool ftw), though at the end I had ice crystals on my gloves, shoulders, neck cover and eyelashes!

chietanen
Frozen nostrils? Not so much. Used some vasoline, plus I wore a face mask until I got warmed up and that helped keep my nose warm.

Blizzwalker
Here in Middletown we are the Tug Hill of dustings and coatings. I have said I will divest myself of concern for this storm tomorrow. Of course I will be straining for a glimmer of hope in the next suite of model runs. How dead can it get? UlsterCountySnowZ
I find it comical that the same posters come out of the woodworks once a storm is a certain miss, or warm lol.. 0 contribution towards tracking the storm, but once it's def rain, were graced with their deep analaysis Cracks me up lmao

Yeah Highland Mills is extremely hilly and has many spots over 1000'. Always wondered what Schenemunk Mtn averages especially with an elevation of 1663' and the highest point in NYS south of the Catskills.
