I posted something to this effect last year, but I find it fascinating that people will debate for hours on end what the final result will be when a storm is off the coast, but the second it's west of them, it's game, set, match 5 or more days out. Makes no sense to me at all. Why don't we just close the thread then?

IMO, part of the problem is the majority of folks on here are snow fans rather than weather fans.

Its the biggest reason why I created the NW thread a few years ago.

The Euro ensembles are literally all over the place, if anything more diffusely spread than last night's run. The outcome is far from certain at this point. One thing to note from the OP run of the Euro (and to a lesser extent, GFS), if this tracks west of us, there could be some screaming winds over the area.
