chietanen
1.2" new snow... The regional radar is fascinating tonight. So many moving parts. Fun to watch it evolve. Even more fun if we get in on the action.

I'm hardly under echoes and I'm snowing steady
LaGrangewx
Just drove around roads are grease around 2 inches with steady snow I have friend who lives in poughquag closer to Connecticut at around 1000ft reports 4-5 inches
White Gorilla
What's everyone thinking for their backyard for Sunday morning? Looks to be the coldest night of the year. I'm going to take a stab and say -5 for a low here. If we can build up a little snow pack this week, both here and north of us, maybe we can go even lower.Potential is high for sub zero temps, especially with snow as you said. chietanen
We might see that back edge fill in a little bit as it interacts with the clipper over the lakes. Very light flurries here in Fishkill. If only I could have made it snow during the blizzard. Hopefully this little surprise breaks our slump.

snywx
Hopefully we can get the LP to form sooner and take the same path.. As of now it gives most here a 4-5" event mañana

chietanen
GFS is north as well and puts some of our area into the moderate snow for tomorrow night. Looking at downstream radars (BGM and DIX), they seem to be filling in nicely. Most of us should continue with light snow off and on through the night. CPcantmeasuresnow
23.5 light snow. A little over an inch since 7pm. This may qualify as a SECS this year In the HV. With my seasonal now over 18 inches I suppose I shouldn't complain. Twenty miles north of me people are recording their first inch of snow this season which is Unbelievable for this area. Let's hope tomorrow brings us something at least plowable.

chietanen
1.6" final tally. Almost doubles my seasonal total! The Euro remains impressively cold this weekend. Some areas below -10 with wind chills in -30 range on Sunday morning. Now we wait and see how tonight trends. The extended HRRR develops snow over our area this evening, but it's way at the end of its range.

White Gorilla
Would go with meso models now and ignore the globals. With WWA near the city, I could see us getting 2-3 inches up here. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

Juliancolton
Wow, very steep lapse rates progged for tomorrow. Even if we don't get into the heart of the Norlun trough, somebody will pick up a couple quick inches in heavy squalls.

I suppose I'm one of the few areas, southeast Orange County, that is in double digits so I shouldn't complain.
