March 2012 was a freak event. You can't rely on that kind of warmth in March, if it happens it's just a tease, what's the point.

True, but these freak events have been occurring with great frequency. I'm not saying this March will end up like 2012 (or warmer), but nothing would surprise me at this point.

I'd welcome an AN March or "Morch", there's no sense in delaying the impending warmth, Spring is inevitable.

The situation in the Arctic is nothing short of astonishing. Yesterday was the 12th consecutive day and 18th out of the last 19 days on which new daily record low figures were established. New daily record low figures have been established on 57% of the dates this year.

You know that this has been a one of a kind El Nino season when Seattle sets its record

for the wettest winter ever. The wettest winters there have been generally reserved for 

La Ninas. Just another stat to add to the extremes this winter.
