Down to SN- and fog.  About 0.5" covering out there.   Streets are wet since they were warmer but they will become a sheet of ice when the arctic front gets here. :axe:  (I don't think anyone thought to brine for this although some streets had some brine left over from after the last squall event).

Temp 30.7F, winds light out of the NW.

Brine is to help with plowing so ice doesn't accumulate beneath the snow pack. Doesn't help much with a refreeze.

As a salt solution (the chemist in me here), it would lower the freezing temp for the water that mixes with it but based on the progged temps, it might not help depending on what they used in the brine.

Total snow so far with this event is 0.5" here in East Nantmeal Twp in Chester County PA - would not be surprised to see some snow squalls later this evening with the arctic FROPA....so could add to this later

Seasonal snow....uh I mean this week is now up to a whopping 1.8" only 9.9" below normal to date

Currently

Clear with calm winds and 31.4
