TalcottWx
We snow... modestly. These often only kiss the SNE coastline but this one is tracking further west than originally progged. I am feeling pretty solid about an advisory event here with more locally to the coast and on the cape. At any rate, this system sets the stage for what's to come. I just looked at it all I'll call 1-3" and call it a day

ORH_wxman
The inverted trough is important for getting any adivsory snow...the coastal itself is weak sauce with the lift...at least for most of us.

TalcottWx
12z rgem cracks me up. BOS on the edge of the first south shore band. BOS too far south as the second band just misses to the north later on.
medmax
I just looked at it all I'll call 1-3" and call it a day NAM http://mp1.met.psu.edu/~fxg1/WRF_12z/wrf24.html GFS http://mp1.met.psu.edu/~fxg1/AVN_12z/avn24.html Yummy. As modeled it will be well over 1", but given the fact that this is a fast-mover with a lot of moving parts, I would not be surprised if we looked at a 2-3" event. SR Airglow
Woah -- taking a look after skiing and it looks like this is a decent little event shaping up. Someone(Tip maybe?) said that the best events sometimes come when you least expect them and it seems like they may be correct in this case. Low end thoughts are for an inch or so for the BOS area, but wouldn't be surprised to see a 2-4" type of deal when all is said and done.

USCAPEWEATHERAF
I don't see how we rain or mix, the temps are fine and wet bulbing will take us down to 32F. Virga right now, no snow falling 37F/29F

JC-CT
Might be high but I'd certainly go with 1-2 I don't mean that they think 2" is the min, they are using that as their "expected" amount. Probabilities by town would make 1-3 an appropriate range.

TauntonBlizzard2013
Yeah I would hoist a winter storm warning for Plymouth county Wouldn't 6" amounts have to be widespread for that? If one town sees 6" I don't know if that justifies the warning
USCAPEWEATHERAF
I know but I think it is widespread for the county

metagraphica
Was snowing nicely in East Lyme when I down there @ 3:45pm. A coating on the cars in the Stop n Shop parking lot. Very light snow currently 10 miles north in Salem. Might be some surprise amounts along the shore in CT, RI and out obviously out to the Cape.
