powderfreak
it's negative in that 0z EPS average, ask Dendrite for a link Yeah that's why I said in the mean (and it was only -1 or so)...did you look at the spread? I think the important part is not about whether or not it goes negative but just that it's supposed to drop fairly decently. That EPS you posted went from +4 to -1 in the means...so even if it falls to 0 or +1, it's still a good drop.
CoastalWx
It had just weak ridging into Greenland. I would hesitate to call it a -NAO.
eyewall
The BTV NWS is not very optimistic about "Make up" storms in Feb as of now based on some of their FB comments. US National Weather Service Burlington VT it appears we will have a cool down for the middle of the month, but right now it appears that the pattern won't last too long, nor be accompanied by any big storm. we shall see. CoastalWx
Very true. We don't even have last year to reflect on lol. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk This may be more your pattern if ridging stays a bit off the west coast. Even if it doesn't, you may get a big s/w digging over the south for a coastal hugger. powderfreak
This is why I hate excel -NAOs. You need to see the pattern. Yeah and also shows the differences between guidance. Nothing is a lock when one ensemble says negative and another says positive...though the GEFS were much more positive than the EPS was negative.
