mattb65
Thie DC Snow hole is making me nervous...when do you guys think it will fill in by? Not really a snow hole just a virga hole given the location of the radar. Snow tv should commence in the next couple hours. Hope no one is expecting any accumulations. Should be a nice wintry appeal. Bob Chill
Thie DC Snow hole is making me nervous...when do you guys think it will fill in by? Not sure if this is sarcasm but it's not a hole. It's virga. Closer to the beam shows up better because of angle. When precip fills in near the beam it means it's reaching the ground.

mappy
I'm not sure anybody ever said it would be more than that....at least for areas north and west of the cities. If they did, I didn't see it. Umm...Ravens and his "metros could see up to an inch" from last night....

Expat
Doesn't the radar have a "sensitive mode" that it is set to in dry periods or non-events? I downloaded a radar app called Darxen and it often switches into a mode where I believe it does just that.

Thanks. I remember Ian talking about it a long time ago. I only mention because everyone staring out the window right now looking for flakes should look in the mirror for awhile because I don't think that there is anything close to the metros reaching the ground. PhineasC
Shame to see all of this sliding off shore. This would have been a nice appetizer before the Euro HECS at the end of the week.

Doesn't seem to be advancing NW, tho That shouldn't be a surprise because it is what the models have shown 13 pages ago. That doesn't mean I'm not rooting for it. Stormpc
Pretty nice looking bands from Spotsy and to the SW. Obviously any snow will be welcome. it will be interesting to see how north and west any decent snow showers make it. I'm not talking about accumulation though. Especially because I'll be on Kent Island today! Models originally had the coastal giving NO impact to anyone on the east coast. this thing has trended over 300 miles NW since 2 days ago.
