Check out the winds associated with that line of snow squalls across central PA.  There are winds to 30 - 50kts shown on the storm relative velocity screen.  If this was the summer State College would probably be issuing Severe Thunderstorm warnings for this line.  As it is measured wind gusts to 40 MPH an hour are occurring behind this line.

A wind advisory has been hoisted areawide.

I'm standing outside on 120th at about 150' elevation and have drizzle with a couple flakes mixed in from time to time. Definitely not "snow"

For about two minutes there was light flakage near Kew Gardens. Now grauple mixed with a few rain drops

Mt. Holly has just issued a special weather statement for the squall line for their CWA.  They are warning of a line of strong thunderstorms with visibilities dropping to a half a mile in snow with occasional lightning.  They are warning of an inch of snow in one hour with this feature.

Just posted this in the NW section..

Incoming..

The squall line is low topped - it will look less impressive as it travels between radar sites.  I am guessing that the radar view of it that is approaching Ulster County might be partially blocked by mountains.  I saw the same thing earlier as it moved between the State College and Mt. Holly sites.  Look at Mt. Holly now.

Line looks to be falling apart.

Hopefully is holds together as it approaches my area. :axe:
