wxfoto Posted January 11, 2016 Share Posted January 11, 2016 Was wondering if a meteorologist/physicist could chime in on how this refraction occurred off of the top of the Freedom Tower- I've never seen this before, anywhere. cut Posted January 11, 2016 Share Posted January 11, 2016 That looks like a reflection shining back through rain or a light fog. I think basically it is a reflection with a dark sky behind it so the contrast is what makes it stand out. I am neither meteo or scientist - but I do work with cameras and lighting.
