Still a very bright couplet with this cell .....not good

Getting pounded in the Panhandle right now with nothing severe though. Just got home from work and WEAR is running video from this storm with a confirmed tog. Approximately 10 houses damaged with no confirmed injures.

That mesolow was insane on radar, as was that squall, best one here in forever, winds had to be 50+ and the rain/wind created a whiteout effect that made it hard for me to see trees only 100 yrds away. I had around .30" in the rain gauge before than squall hit, it last 10 mins then there was some light rain after it and my gauge had 1.95" in it putting me right at 9" of rain for Feb.

Crazy storm, we are near the coast well away from the tornadic activity but had 70 mph gusts and got .97" of rain in 11 minutes. 9" for any month is a lot of rain let alone half of February!!!

That squall line was a beast when it came through here as well yesterday. This is what it looked like before the storm.

That would be something considering tornado scientists are doing a massive research project on Dixie Alley tornadoes this season. It'll be interesting to see how VORTEX-SE do...
