strongwxnc
That just might save the storm for us Robert. no, I was there just letting DT field the questions, I really tried to answer the caller from Alabama and Georgia and Dan (MarionNCWx). I'm guessing they disconnected me when Allan left? We all heard you at the first part. But not answering questions... No one heard ANY of my answers?? good grief, I was answering usually when Allen was during the first 30 minutes or so. I heard all the questions on the phone fine. Gastonwxman
Well. I"m done with radio shows! I tried 3 times to answer calls , from Georgia, Alabama and Dan's question. I heard the question fine, and they assumed I hung up. After not being allowed to answer the first 2 questions ( which I tried). DT got to answer both questions and I had plenty to say. Oh well. Maybe my call was dropped a long time ago, that would explain some things like not being allowed to answer the questions. Did anyone hear me try to answer? At any rate, I'm pleased with the trends tonight of the GFS. As am I. It trended much better than what I thought it would do. Too bad it crushed it at the last moment, but it was a nice step toward the Euro. This reassures me some now that we are not seeing this thing getting strung out and yanked northward. I was trying to get words in edgewise every where from then on, but Randy kept right on talking over me. At first I thought it was just rudeness, but I guess I was truly dropped. Thats too bad b/c I had plenty to say about the Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia and NC callers, yet Dave kept talking over me. Guess it makes sense now. My answers were way different than Dave's I'll say. Any way, I guess chalk it up to bad connections or whatever. Funny how I could hear the callers and the host/Will/DT just fine though. WidreMann
I'm actually not liking the trends now. Weaker and drier. Maybe that's just part of this time frame where the models kind of lose the storm. But this may be more of a chihuahua than a rottweiler.

FoothillsNC
I heard you Robert, did you here me... Radio show is a cluster, no worries, always has been and always will be given radio show climo! Yes I heard you but now I'm so upset I don't remember what you asked. GRRR. It was about that time I noticed I was being talked over. Anyway, its over for this show for me. I havne't had time to look much at GFS but it was trending def. in the right direction (or the Euro). Good qpf along the right entrance /divergence of the ULL in ne TX and Ok, with the inverted trough, its there the GFS begins to lose it a little. Still impressed with the snow that makes it east ahead of the incoming phasing for Ark, Tenn, Miss and crossing into GA and Carolinas. The GFS is trying to tell us it sees the potential for sparking the big coastal in Fl or southern GA but it loses the good neutral s/w too suddenly. If you'll notice each 12 hours it maintains the integrity an additional 12 hours or so. I may stay up for the Euro, after I peruse some other models in a moment. DopplerWx
A bomb off FL/GA would be real nice for SC and GA, not so much for western NC though.
beanskip
Canadian run is a real shocker -- just when it seemed like the GFS was on board and we were headed toward consensus, the Canadian basically cuts WNC out of the deal, except for maybe some flurries. weatherheels
Damn, anyone else worried about the Euro being suppressed tonight? If it is, well, we'll have most major guidance showing pretty much an OTS solution, which from what I've gathered is definitely a possibility. Even with what the current GFS guidance is showing, still a decent event for quite a few in the S.E. Not a blockbuster by any stretch of the imagination, but I'd take my inch on Xmas night with a smile and a tip of the cap to the snow Gods. It's fine to bomb there, just as long as it actually moves up the coast instead of going out to sea.

dsaur
My 850's look good...0 at onset, and the surface temps are cold enough for snow even though it is afternoon. And the dp gives me room to play with. Dang, it has sucked me in. If the gfs hadn't come south, I could have fought the urge to believe. T
eyewall
Well the good news the models seemed to be converging, UKIE, GGEM, GFS, all look similar...and I bet Euro will be next. The bad news is we want someting as close to the Euro's 12z solution to verify as possible. Obviously that is a long shot by any stretch.
