Later today, inches of rainfall will likely pull ahead of inches of snowfall since Dec 1 at Albany airport. Might as well be Albany, GA.

Crazy thing is ALB averages the same snowfall as ORH...given recent winters you'd think ALB had a PHL climo. Wait, actually snowed more in PHL in recent years, so yeah Georgia is about right .

ALB is around 61-62" right? I think they are about 7" less than ORH...but still pretty close.

Check radar..it's all south from NYC to s ct

And where else should we talk about current weather other than the Feb thread?

Looking at radar, we're getting a good dousing down here in Norwich.  You're about to get some heavy rain up there too.

I'll concede the other point since we don't have a current obs thread. :-)

Ahh I just googled Worecester annual snowfall and found 64.1"....I know ALB was 62.4" back when I lived there, but Google says 59".

Albany looks to have come in at or above average snowfall in 4 of the past 10 winters including the past two. However, 4 of those below average winters were well below average so it has probably seemed worse than it actually is.

Man, pretty unbelievable nastiness in New Haven right now, express train of alternating heavy rain, gusty winds, a few seconds of relative calm... Then repeat. Again. Repeat some more... Keep doing it.

No end in sight. This got old a while ago, and I like storms. A little thunder would have made it bearable, but no such luck. I mean, if we must get 50s temps in Feb. with training cells, at least serve it up with a little lightning, please...

ORH long term average is about 69". Tho the '81-'10 30 year average is close to that 64 number. But it will rocket back up once we drop the 1980s in next update after 2020.
