If thats your backyard, awesome...my golden doodles would have a feel day! I am down to almost a trace in spots, when the sun hits, the mud pops, and that means muddy dogs....praying for a lot of storms the rest of this season.

Troughing in the east tends to bring both. That's the silly part of the whole argument.

The argument was the hypothetical "which one would you rather have if you have to choose one". Based on historical records, my area would take the precip over the cold. Your area might want cold more.

Obviously most of our favorable patterns bring both.

once I was confident of little to no impact (about three full days out), last weekend's blizzard was a lot of fun to follow. In a season with so little to track it was a treat.

 

getting tired of wishing for big snows anyways, have had some good ones. Maybe not what I fantasize about but there have been a lot of big storms in the past twenty years, no jackpots and precious few mesoscale banding treats but certainly not a total shut out.

I want precipitation and cold enough. Without both, it's really hard to snow.
