The mid-Atlantic is setting itself up to have a huge storm and yet still be disappointed.

"Whoever is in the deform band won't just "may" get more than 30...i would bet a large amount of $ they WILL get more than 30 easy"

"Someone could approach 40-45"

There will be cliff diving if it's only a 12-18" storm up there, I'm afraid.

Really dangerous to be looking at modeling with that kind of assurance 5.5 days out.  I remember 5 days out in Jan 2014 central NC was looking at 26+ inches of snow modeled with 4 inches of sleet and 50mph winds.  Ended up being a nice storm and all but....

Euro has stood it's ground... :pimp::clap:

If this holds up into Wed. runs I'd really consider us folks in the CAD areas to get the generators ready.

If we can get rid of the low in TN that keeps wanting to pop up every now and then on model runs we'd be sitting a little better IMO. This is going to be a mess no matter what happens though with the QPF being modeled.

So you mean to tell me we have basically been in a shutout game (save a dusting) for half the winter, warm enough to keep the fescue growing until this week, and now we could see snow tomorrow, Friday, Saturday and even next week in historic proportions deep enough to lose mid size children, small adults, residential size landscaping equipment, picnic tables, grills, small cars and my poor dog???

Meh, I'll take it I guess. :-)

What an insane run by the king last night!

I'd get that lift and tires done today!

Today should be fun.. I assume models will continue to hone in on a better track for our LP. Never set your hopes high in the SE when you have to relay on something special to happen. With that said, for the CAD areas, I hope we see a little more agreement on a High place and wind flow. At this point, I would be happy with a all frozen event. Just throw a mix bag at me.

My location (just north of SC around 1050' normally sees Rain to a FRZ rain event in this setup.

But man I am pulling for what ever give me (and most on here) that sweet white gold.

Anyone notice that Atlanta might see something out of tomorrows system?  FFC putting out an advisory this morning for the far northern counties and noting that the city might see a few flakes too.

Looks like my daily drive from MCN to Buckhead might get stretched.  I'm guessing that by now the Atlanta Storm-mongers have the city gridlocked rushing to grab milk and bread.

I hope nobody is expecting this to be repeat of Jan 2014 because it won't be even close.
