There is also a coating on the lawn...first measurable. Last snow was 10/17. This winter is not exactly trashing the school of thought that nothing good follows October snow although it's probably too early to make that call. For "low level" snow, there are some nice large well formed snowflakes falling. Low level stuff is usually snizzle. There is snizzle, but also the dendrites.
