powderfreak
Nice storm...best type of dense snow and sleet that could fall to start building a pack. Love the winter storm feeling snow packed roads, snowbanks, and it looks like winter.

Baroclinic Zone
Yeah drove through the CF on I-495 in Mansfield by airport. It went from freezing to 38-39F in about 2mi. Left office in Wrentham and it was 29F.
HIPPYVALLEY
Congrats Wyman and Sugarloaf too Yeah, my brother and his girls went up there (Sugarloaf) yesterday. He texted and said today was a fantastic day on the mountain.
HIPPYVALLEY
Although the storm totals were too impressive, it was a fairly high impact storm out here. Sleet packed roads, many accidents, and the clean up was a b**ch. Now it's freezing drizzle.

CT Valley Snowman
Much more wintry look in Enfield coming home from Manchester. Much more solid cover and ice on trees and power lines as opposed to puddles and more bare ground.
J.Spin
Event totals: 4.9” Snow/0.87” L.E. I’m passing along the midday analysis now since I couldn’t get it out before we headed up to the mountain for the afternoon. The morning’s accumulation was quite dense thanks to a hefty amount of sleet in the precipitation mix. Details from the 12:00 P.M. Waterbury observations: New Snow: 0.6 inches New Liquid: 0.31 inches Snow/Water Ratio: 1.9 Snow Density: 51.7% H2O Temperature: 25.2 F Sky: Sleet Snow at the stake: 5.0 inches

Snowedin
It's near freezing literally 2 or 3 miles to my NW and low 40s just to my SE..It's a amazing to see such a sharp contrast here on the South Shore. We're still in the upper 30s but that's soon to change. Thank goodness I managed to remove all the slush off our driveway before the inevitable refreeze. 40/70 Benchmark
What a rink out there. @tollandalert will be busy Very rare occasion, but the ice is nasty here.....we had 2.5" of snow/sleet, then rain, with the frz rain on the back end, once the cf came back through. Noticeably more snowy here than KBED....they had about 2" there, 2.5"here with no grass showing.....I can walk on it. Nasty. 24.4/23 here, after a high of 33 34 in KBED. I actually hit the ice hard for once in my call, glad I did.

J.Spin
Event totals: 5.5” Snow/1.04” L.E. There was a real mixed bag of precipitation types this afternoon, but there were a lot more periods of snow among the sleet and that brought the density of the 6:00 P.M. stack down to half of what the 12:00 P.M. stack contained. The precipitation is entirely back to snow now and accumulating at least modestly, so there should be something to report in the next update. Details from the 6:00 P.M. Waterbury observations: New Snow: 0.6 inches New Liquid: 0.17 inches Snow/Water Ratio: 3.5 Snow Density: 28.3% H2O Temperature: 28.8 F Sky: Snow (1-8 mm flakes) Snow at the stake: 5.5 inches

J Paul Gordon
Never went above freezing here and dropped back to -4C/25F mid-afternoon and stayed there. Worcester roads were ridiculously bad when all the surrounding towns were clear. I've seen better clean up in Midwest City OK when they have weather like this!
