cstrunk
I received a phone call from UT Tyler's alert system notifying everyone about the impending severe weather threat. First time I got an actual phone call instead of a text alert.

jojo762
Garland/Rowlett tornado has been rated EF4 per FWD twitter. sounds like that was preliminary, and that the rating was close to 200mph, some possibility it could go up to EF5 apparently. I highly doubt it'll be upgraded to EF5. Just my opinion.
Msalgado
The cell I'm watching looks to be developing a mesocyclone. Sent from my iPhone As soon as that cell got its act together it ran right over the cold air at the surface and died. Was very surprised wen they issued the 2nd warning on it. Either way, my first chased tornado warning in the month of December ever. Probably my first chased AM warning too, haha.
jojo762
I haven't heard or seen anything to indicate this. Source? Twitter via someone from the Dallas Media they indicated what I said as FWD released the info... However, probably won't be upgraded, but still interesting. ClicheVortex2014
I'm shocked by the destruction last night near Garland. I didn't think the velocities were that strong. I absolutely saw the debris ball, velocity, and all that... thought it was EF3 or so. The damage looks like a high-end EF4. Here's some more pictures that haven't been posted here yet

The one near Hope, AR looks nastiest I think. Its track also puts a bunch of cities/towns at risk.

Chinook
Yeah, strong velocity signature at Perrytown/Hope/Emmet Arkansas. It may be a little far from the radar for a true tornado debris signature (on CC).
radarman
This was the Ellis county tornado as it formed right over the northern side of the airport. They were the ones that reported the 105 mph gust.
ClicheVortex2014
The storms are quickly running out of the warm sector... watching the cell west of Shreveport that's just north of Marshall, TX as it's starting to get rotation. 2 streamers are on it on tvnweather

SluggerWx
It looks like from sat imagery that Woodlawn, TX may have taken a hit. Smaller community with some local businesses and a couple churches. But there do look to be at least two trailer park communities as well. This is saddening because of the obvious debris signature that showed up in the scans immediately after the cell exited Woodlawn
Chinook
BTW those radar images are from eastern TX, 35 miles west of downtown Shreveport LA.
ClicheVortex2014
Went from almost no rotation to big rotation again, in only 2 scans Another cell to watch just west of Shreveport again... looks to be forming a hook. Mesoanalysis says this area is very favorable for tornadoes... 3 STP right now.
