Meanwhile, the Greenwood, IN tornado (3 miles from my daughter's house):

Developing: The @NWSDetroit says they'll be in Canton tomorrow to see if storm damage would indicate at tornado. Details soon on @WWJ950

Will be very interested to see if that was actually a tornado.

Picture of the damage to the cars in Canton from Local4 here in Detroit:

Wow. That would be amazing if it turned out to be a brief spinup, as that would be the first tornado ever recorded in SE Michigan in December.

Reported tornado in Noblesville awhile back. About 15 minutes away from my house. Those couplets were in that line but the main focus was wind. Even if a warning had gone out, it would've been over before it was relayed.

Any thoughts on the intensity of Holly Springs tornado? I know at the time of impact, velocity scan was showing ~190 MPH G2G. But that was quite a far way above the ground... so based on that alone, I assume it's at least EF3 (that's awfully conservative I think). Based on damage, I think we might see an EF4.

Preliminary rating of EF3 based on the damage in Holly Springs. Could see an upgrade later as the majority of the path has yet to be surveyed, particularly closer to Clarksdale where it was at its most intense IMO.

Not too hard...

No permanent foundation. Looks like the home was sitting on cinder blocks. Probably either a very old house, or some sort of manufactured home.

They said it's a mobile home. Obviously it's gonna be easy for a tornado to wipe it off. But the entire house is gone and they were inside it... it's a miracle they lived

Totally didn't see the brief summary above the image.

I know there was a story of that happening within the the past few years. Can't remember when.
