Chinook
I have finally written a web page about all the Great Lakes shipwrecks that had to do with storms. I found it interesting that Hoosier listed Nov 23-25 1905 as a major storm (See thread on Great Lakes Storms of Fall.) Then, on Nov 28 1905 was another fierce storm, with many shipwrecks. (Mataafa Storm.) The ship captains thought there couldn't possibly be two strong storms in a row, so they were out on the lake. Milton Smith of the S.S. Charles S. Price did not reboard his ship on Saturday November 8, 1913. Days later, he had another job to do-- identifying the frozen bodies of his friends! http://www.greatlakes.salsite.com/Shipwrecks.html
