OceanStWx
I think for 15 minutes or so it will be touch and go on Route 2 around Bethel, and eventually points east as that drops SE.

radarman
Wow it's pounding at Okemo under that band. Looks like they have quite a bit. They updated their website at 1030 claiming 3" new since 7am and powdery turns.
wxeyeNH
Lopstick Cabins in Pittsburg snowed heavy for about a half hour with minor accumulations in that band. OceanSt I use to have a link to the Lopstick camera but the link does not work anymore. Do you have a link to their cam? Thanks! Gene

eekuasepinniW
Tall Timber Lodge has a view a few miles south on Back lake. http://www.talltimberlodging.com/webcam/ The Lopstick cam is great for watching people struggle to drive up that road. powderfreak
Nice. Most wintry day of the season. Should be great up there tomorrow. Yeah actually feels like winter. Second most wintery day of the month, behind the 4-5" mini-upslope event.

Yeah I was thinking 3-4" total, similar to what we chatted about this morning. I'm assuming you were still here when that main squall hit? We just got another mini-one put down a few tenths. Lava Rock
Clouds are back, and if one waits 10-15 seconds a flake can be seen. Upstream radar looks promising, for a visible (OG) dusting, at least.Take your flake, it's the only one you got. Lol.
eekuasepinniW
Still waiting for my first flakes.
wxeyeNH
29.1F Moderate snow squall. Vis about 1/2 mile. Lasted 5 minutes but first T of the season just recorded. Awfully exciting news when you can jump on the computer on 12/19 to get excited about your first trace. Thanks Ocean. Lopstick seems to have upgraded their cam since last year. I bought a new nest cam and it does timelapses so if today's flurries/squalls look cool on the timelapse may post it later! Edit squall has passed but ground is dusted white. Temp down to 27.8F!! Much colder than any of the reporting stations.

eekuasepinniW
We're chucking today This squall lined up on me nicely... I'm sliding right down the spine of it. Healthy coating on the grass now. I've got people working on putting up new vinyl siding today. They seem grumpy.

tamarack
I think for 15 minutes or so it will be touch and go on Route 2 around Bethel, and eventually points east as that drops SE. Looked like the best skirted to the south, but for a couple minutes there were too many flakes in the air for me to count. Not enough to change the color of leaves or lawn - needed about 5X to reach 0.1".
powderfreak
0.3" at home, though a buddy of mine in Eden (a few towns north of Stowe) picked up 3.5-4". Northern Lamoille county got a good blitz there.
MaineJayhawk
Hiked Kearsarge North today hoping to score a squall and wasn't disappointed. The summit featured winds around 20 or so and moderate snow whizzing by. Waited for the squall to pass in the fire tower, about 10 minutes of clearing and then another squall hit. Great hike

wxeyeNH
With the new Nest cam I made a timelapse of the snow squalls moving through. The first part of the timelapse is pretty cool. Once the squalls cleared the second half of the timelapse is pretty boring. Pond is half frozen. Wonder if this cold spell will be enough to keep it frozen through the winter? https://video.nest.com/clip/afa01a2322fc49e983d9f0f0fb8fba55.mp4
