usedtobe
Trying to decide whether there are any other weather apps that are worth getting. I really like RadarScope. Do any offer model output? Wind information?
anotherman
Storm app from Wunderground is cool.
Ian
Most wx apps aren't very good if you're really into wx from personal experience. The only ones besides RadarScope that I regularly use are the Wunderground app and the Weatherbug app. I guess Wunder has a few as I've never tried the storm app noted above.. I just use the general one from them. Both it and weatherbug mainly for local stations that aren't NWS. "Surface" is decent for getting a quick lay of the land from official stations on temp/dp/pressure/wind/vis/etc.. tho I don't use it often. The only model app I've used is WeatherGeek. I haven't opened it in like a year.. it uses NCEP stuff. I've found it's just as easy to log into SV on my phone and use it.
usedtobe
Thanks. I wont' get an app. I hadn't thought of looking at storm vista on my phone. I just need to remember the password.
WxUSAF
I use wunderground. On a related note, do people use an app to view Amwx? Kind of annoying via Google app this far.
das
I use wunderground. On a related note, do people use an app to view Amwx? Kind of annoying via Google app this far. I just use the resident Safari browser on my iPhone. Works just fine.
mattie g
I just use the resident Safari browser on my iPhone. Works just fine. Same here. I'd downloaded Chrome, but never saw the benefit of using it over Safari and taking up space on my phone.

Tapatalk is ok for uploading images, but I'm not a fan otherwise. Safari for me.
87storms
I like weatherbug for basics. I have NOAA radar pro but find that it loads slow and has a short loop. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I might check out radar scope.
87storms
I just use the resident Safari browser on my iPhone. Works just fine. Same. I think safari is actually better than chrome at least on mobile. I use the chrome extension on my desktop to get my bookmarks to safari on my iPhone. Bob Chill
Other than radarscope, standard browsers for amwx, wxbell, cod nexrad, ncep, and trop tidbits etc work just fine. I like dolphin and Opera but I run android. I hate chrome or anything Google for personal stuff. It just weirds me out. Level of trust over the long term just isn't there but that's just me.
