smokeybandit
It definitely matters. MD is far worse than any other state I've driven in.
wxdude64
Doesn't matter the state. All drivers suddenly become 90 yr old people in the rain and dark. Pretty much true. You always have the one nut job that believes he/she is above the fray and drives 20 mph above conditions though weaving back and forth between the 'oldsters' creating havoc
MN Transplant
Doesn't matter the state. All drivers suddenly become 90 yr old people in the rain and dark. I disagree. I never noticed drivers treating wet highways like they were covered with a sheet of ice until I moved out here.

aldie 22
And I've yet to meet anyone who doesn't think the other person is the problem when driving....I would bet the expert drivers on here aren't really that good at it....I know I'm an overly defensive driver

Eskimo Joe
Try driving in southern California when it rains. Experienced that in San Diego this summer; 2" of rain brought SoCal to its knees.
Blizzard92
Experienced that in San Diego this summer; 2" of rain brought SoCal to its knees. Yep, now experiencing all of that, and it is ten fold worse than winter driving on the east coast... pure terror. And the local news reports it as if the roads are glazed over like a skating rink. Terrain is usually limited christmas week and conditions are typically pretty bad in CO during Dec. Not this year. It looks damn amazing out there just about everywhere. aldie 22
Whenever I make a serious post, I am always worried someone like Bob, Wes, Ian, or any of the other mets will just respond by saying "WxWatcher, you're an idiot, go back to posting gifs and running The Panic Room." I don't know why, but I do. Random thoughts today by WxWatcher007 Just know it never looks as good as you think it does
