SnoSki14
I predict a lot of angry snow weenies about a week from now. The Euro and its ensembles better say yes or it's a no go.

Rtd208
In a couple of days if the more reliable models (if there are truly any) show at least a solid hit for the NYC metro region then I will begin to get excited, until then, its just weather porn. I will say this, if NYC misses out on this and places from Philly on south get hit it will be the ultimate punch in the gut this winter, but its not like we haven't seen that before. Rtd208
I am hoping Dr. No says yes but I certainly have my doubts. If it shows an improvement for our area to be impacted by the storm that should at least raise the excitement level a bit more.
BxWeatherwatcher
well before we get to the potential big one, this 2nd wave from last nights storm seems to want to give us some snow later on tonight.each ruc and hrrr run cuts it closer and closer to the coast, and looking at it now it's hard to believe that we wont get anything from this scraping coastal going by current satellite and water vapor loops and trends.might just set the mood for the week. This close in the RGEM and Euro both agreeing isn't bad. I still think though we need a 50 mile shift further west from what they both show for this to be anything
SnoSki14
Euro shows light snow tomorrow Disappointing misstep with that disturbance because it's very potent but so is the pacific flow. We could've used 10/11 blocking.

All that may have done is made it a big hit for the MA and a miss here to the south. Would have depended upon a bunch of factors

This Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I don't know how old you were back then, but I'm 100% sure that if the same thing happens tomorrow you'll remember it. The models literally never showed it as it was supposed to be OTS and the storm just rounded and started coming up the coast. I can't even imagine what the board would look like of something like that happened now with a million short range models
Rtd208
January 2000, the holy grail of positive model busts. I remember that storm well, quite amazing. Snow came on like a wall of white, we got dry slotted here but picked up around 8" or so in a fairly short period of time.
