I think Alaska does too. At least they overlay now-back in the day when they added them, a portion of the population had to change theirs, print new letter head etc etc. NY state currently has 17 area codes. Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire each have just one too. There are 12 states total with just one area code.

My folks just got totally screwed on LI. They go to FLA for the winter and the phone company got confused thinking they were not paying their bill even though they requested suspended service. Turns out they don't find out for weeks the service was axed because of no payment, now they lost their phone number. Its been hell trying to find everyone and tell them the new number. Superstorm93
If u do not mind me asking how does the AO and EPO look on the EUR AO looks excellent but the PNA and EPO are both less than ideal on the operational. The ensembles mean looked much better overall.

pazzo83
Hey Allsnow, today's 41/25 in Central Park is pretty much a typical January day back in my hometown in VA. Reminds me... this day and the next day 20 years ago, we got 36-40" of snow. What a monster that storm was!

pazzo83
Ok didn't know you were in the hills, beautiful country there, drive through it on the way to Atlanta and back Yea, driving up I-81 is "God's country" as they say, especially in the fall or if it recently snowed. Parts of NY/New England really remind me of it, actually.

Superstorm93
can you please explain what implications that might have what the GFS is indicatingAll that really would mean is that there would be an increased potential for a full latitude trough developing Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

Neblizzard
This appears to be a mega West based -NAO as per the 18z GFS <5 days out It sure is. Follow the EPS from today, it has a robust NAO block that keeps on keeping on.
Neblizzard
All that really would mean is that there would be an increased potential for a full latitude trough developing Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk A monster El Niño coupled with robust high latitude blocking spells potential for a monster storm. Slow the flow down and phase the two streams. Potential is there we'll see.
