Hoosier
for a warm wet early winter that looks to remain warm and wet, ORD keeps finding its way into snow events Too early to say with any confidence but maybe it's a preview of what this winter will be like. Most of the strong El Ninos (going back into the 1800s) were not awful subforum wide. Usually there was a zone or two that did pretty well relative to average, but the placement varies a lot. And an even bigger zone that didn't do as bad as some think strong nino means lol.
RCNYILWX
Heavy graupel shower here now. Coating everything, including paved surfaces. Edit: Went from graupel to huge dendrites (~1" diameter) before tapering off. Biggest snowflakes/aggregates I've seen in a while.
Geos
Heavy overcast here right now. Snow still covering the grass with a temp at about 33°. Total snowfall so far this season of 15.8" was not achieved until February 1st last winter!
Jackstraw
Virga this morning then an occasional spray of fine drizzle, turned to graupel, now decent snow shower with clearing off to the west. I can't believe how green the grass (that's not trampled into mud) still is across the area here. Even had a few dandelions pop up in the yard earlier in the week. Yards a muddy mess, dogs are a muddy mess. Looks like Maine in the spring during their mudfest lol. If we are in a pattern that produces the occasional snow followed by warmth and melting, my acre of ground is gonna look like a south Georgia swamp buggy track until spring. Definitely not a fan of this schizo freeze thaw cycle. This kind of weather must boost the sales of Prozac.

IWXwx
0.3" here but no thundersnow. Just enough to make look like winter. Now time to torch with forecast highs 8-10° above normal for the next week (after tomorrow). Ended up +3.6° for November, so we might as well keep it going.
