Geos
Love seeing the big puffballs falling from the sky^! Looks like the precip is starting just to the west. Currently a bit too warm for snow, but future cast on ABC showed the area flipping to snow between 8pm-10pm. RGEM and the GEM have the highest snow totals in NE Illinois/NW Indiana. Brewers
Second year in a row with a big bust to start the winter. I ended with about 5.5" total, 4" came from the surprise yesterday morning. Highly disappointing, but at least you received something appreciable. I'm ready to melt this slop and torch for a couple of weeks.
Geos
Starting to see snow on weather cameras just to the west. Everyone else in Chicagoland should see some snow before midnight.
HillsdaleMIWeather
I could see me getting 1-2 maybe out of this if the the more bullish options verify, MAYBE 3 if massive over performance occurs.
cyclone77
Snow was expected here this eve, but it developed just to the east. Hoping for a few mood flakes tomorrow morning.

Chitown Storm
NE IL doing better than I did with the main event...Nice The 5.5" I got has compacted down to about 2" already. I'd be more upset if it was going to be cold going forward. I'm looking for long term snow cover. With the torch coming, there won't be any snow anywhere in the Midwest by this weekend. Gilbertfly
A little over 1 inch on grass and grill tops...pavements mostly just wet with a few slushy spots here and there... Snow continues to fall with drippy gutters. Not a bad start to the winter all things considered!

tuanis
A little late to the party here - this one took me by surprise a bit as I wasn't expecting much at all. A bit over 2" OTG up here in central Lake County. We've been incredibly lucky with these events so far. I'm all about a warm winter with periodic picturesque snowfalls.Live cam feed: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/libertyville-snow
