Love seeing the big puffballs falling from the sky^!

 

Looks like the precip is starting just to the west. Currently a bit too warm for snow, but future cast on ABC showed the area flipping to snow between 8pm-10pm. 

 

RGEM and the GEM have the highest snow totals in NE Illinois/NW Indiana.

Second year in a row with a big bust to start the winter. I ended with about 5.5" total, 4" came from the surprise yesterday morning.

 

Highly disappointing, but at least you received something appreciable. I'm ready to melt this slop and torch for a couple of weeks.

A little late to the party here - this one took me by surprise a bit as I wasn't expecting much at all. A bit over 2" OTG up here in central Lake County. We've been incredibly lucky with these events so far. I'm all about a warm winter with periodic picturesque snowfalls.
